Blueroom Collective's new show 'Nowhere' features experimental visual communication in typography and experiential design.
The show explores current notions of place and identity in the increasingly fractured post-truth era we now inhabit. Expect cerebral print, digital, installation and editorial work which also showcases a range of typefaces from Newcastle-based Font Foundry The Northern Block set to a dystopian soundtrack by Unstable Creations.
This show is the follow-up to the group's award-winning 'Thematic' show, which exhibited in May at Somos-Arts, Berlin.
Blueroom Collective are based in Edinburgh and work in graphic design, design education, and their associated creative practices.
“Technology is changing design, but repetitive generic approaches dominate the commercial application of visual communication. Our preferred medium is typography and our work challenges that situation by celebrating the connections between the conceptual and the constructive. Our projects typically last about 12 weeks, and we try to exhibit as soon as possible upon completion.”
Entry is FREE, but booking is advised.
